Firstly here is a link to a really great article about all the rivalries in CFB:

Secondly:
THE NCAA GOT ONE RIGHT!!!
I personally can’t believe it, seeing the NCAA brass finally send ruling down that favors the player: Here is a report on the situation from FOXsports.com:

"SS Myron Rolle will likely miss a good portion of the Maryland game, if not the entire game, as he interviews for a Rhodes Scholarship in Birmingham, Ala., earlier in the day. His interview could last as late at 4 or 5 p.m. Central time. Even though the Seminoles received approval to charter a plane for Rolle, the loss of an hour, plus a 90-minute plane flight makes it seem improbable that Rolle could arrive at Maryland, get dressed for the game and warm up before halftime."

Weeks ago when I first heard about this I couldn't help to think about the Colorado kick returner who wasn’t aloud to play by the NCAA due to the sponsors he had in place to fund his armature skiing aspirations.
I guess as it turns out if you're making the NCAA look good with your achievements as Myron Rolle is they'll let you take the handout.
Even if the NCAA allowing FSU to charter a plane for Rolle is inconsistent with prior rulings WHICH IT IS! We should all be standing and applauding the example Rolle has set as a true student (first) athlete. There will never be one Myron Rolle for every five star recruit who can’t read but gets a big college scholarship. This is why when someone like Myron Rolle comes along we must applaud him all the more.
